How to use this package
This Online CALM Life Skills seminar is divided into 8 modules.
When you purchase the course you will have access to instructions (pdf files)
online audio (mp3), online video in wave files (wmv) and online chapters of
the book Piece Of Mind (pdf files) for each module. You will be guided
through the programme step by step, so that you not only learn to use
the power of your subconscious mind ……. you also experience
it working for you!
We know that you can do the 8 modules in one long day however it is
best to do ONE MODULE per week. This way you will have formed habits that are
established in your subconscious mind
Self Directed Learning:
Each module will ask you to listen to audio, watch video and read relevant
chapters in the book Piece of Mind. Please make sure you do this in
a way that suits your way of learning.
If you love to read, then you may wish to read the chapters of Piece of
Mind before you listen to the audio tapes. If you prefer to listen to audio
- then do that first. You decide when you watch the video.
If reading is not your favourite activity, then you might like to have a look
at the 'Mind Charts' at the beginning and end of each chapter,
and also the illustrations scattered throughout the book. These preview and
revise all the information contained in the chapters - in a visual form!
You can down load the audio to your Ipod (or your computer and make CDs or
Tapes). It is OK to listen to most audio in your car, or on your personal stereo
or while walking or jogging if you like to be physically active. Please note,
however, the tracks from the Audio "A Peaceful Place No. 2"
should only be used while you are still and inactive! In other
words you cannot do the which say “get into a comfortable position and close
your eyes” in your car. Know
that the words within each one of the audios are prepared as though it is a
tape: please substitute the appropriate words in your mind if they do not pertain
to your own situation.
The video clips are a marvellous way to preview and revise the information
because they are visual and auditory at the same time, and use colour! If you
make notes at the same time, then you are also utilising your kinaesthetic learning
ability.
Weekly Activities:
These work with both your conscious mind and your subconscious mind. They also
help you to build up your skill level so that you will be able to use the power
of your subconscious in any situation.
Questions:
The questions are a useful way to check how much your conscious mind can recall
from your reading, listening, watching and doing exercises.
When you have answered the questions for each week, you can check your answers
by re-reading, listening, or watching the original source and by checking the
answers supplied at the end of each Module.
Suggestion:
We would suggest that you print out the pdf documents in each Module. Make sure
that you print on one side only - this way all the left-hand pages are blank
and you can make notes while you listen, watch or read.
You can also jot down any questions as they come up - writing them down actually
gets the subconscious mind working on seeking the answer for you!
And use coloured pens - the creative side of our mind loves colour
and it helps memory too!
Colour in the Mind Charts and the pictures too, both in this booklet, and in
Piece of Mind - especially while you're listening or watching.
IBVA (Interactive Brainwave Visual Analyser)
When you reach Module 2 there will be a link (or cut and paste this
link http://www.calm.com.au/see_brain_wave_proof.php)
where you will be able to observe Sandy MacGregor’s brain waves. When you are
doing the exercises in these modules know that your brain waves will be similar
to the video you observed of Sandy’s brainwaves. It is exciting to observe the
scientific proof of what we are doing when we are deliberately using the subconscious
mind.
To begin this programme:
Whenever you print any documents flip quickly through them (including the book
Piece of Mind.) As you scan through the pages, look at the headings,
sub-headings, illustrations and mind charts. This will begin your learning process
- it will "switch on" your brain and make it ready to receive new
information. This is an accelerated learning technique that is very useful when
beginning any new learning programme.
